Meet Mr. Cooke

Mr. Cooke is incredibly excited to begin working with the Meigs Middle School Wildcat Band as the new band director in 2022.

Mr. Cooke comes to us from Ruckel Middle School where he served as the band assistant. Prior to that, Mr. Cooke received his Bachelor of Music in Music Education (2021) and Bachelor of Science of Education in Music Education (2021) from Western Carolina University in North Carolina. During his undergraduate studies, he performed in the WCU Wind Ensemble, Trumpet Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and the Pride of the Mountains Marching Band where he marched in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Mr. Cooke also performed in Italy with the WCU Trumpet Ensemble for the Orvieto Musica music festival. Post graduation, he also performed with the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra.

Mr. Cooke looks forward to serving the Meigs Middle School and Shalimar community through the music of the hard working Meigs Wildcat Band.
